"My entire right foot and part of my left foot were causing me an extreme amount of pain. Both heels affected my daily life and the more I moved around, the more pain I experienced.  

I had tried a variety of different things to treat the pain, but none of it worked (splints, leg braces, steroid shots into the bottom of my feet, soft casts, hard casts, exercises, ice, prayer, special shoes, etc) 

The pain had lasted for about five years and I had missed a large amount of work due to the pain.

I was suffering with severe pain that prevented me from standing or walking for more than five minutes at a time.

I had tried other Chiropractors, physical therapy, and was taking a large amount of pain medications, but none of it seemed to help.

The pain at times was so bad that I had to miss a lot of work – sometimes up to three months per episode. In fact, I had missed so much work due to severe back pain over the last seven years that I was going to be fired!

My original problem when I first started seeing Dr. Alff was that I had a bunion on my right foot that was causing a considerable amount of pain.  

I had scheduled a date to have surgery on the bunion, but after a friend suggested that I try Chiropractic care with Dr. Alff first, I gave it a try… and I’m sure glad I did! 

I have now been on a scheduled program with Dr. Alff for a while now and I have not only experienced immense relief from my bunion, but with the alignment of my entire spine as well.

"It Was Difficult To Turn My Neck,
But Not Anymore!"

When I first came to the Ventura Spinal Care Center I was suffering with severe pain in my neck. It was difficult to turn my head or get any sleep at night.  

But since receiving treatment with Dr. Alff and his staff, I am now able to turn my head and get the sleep I need!  

Now that I am feeling so much better, I am going to be walking in the Avon Breast Cancer Walk this fall (A 39 mile walk!).  I don't think I would have been able to take on this challenge without the chiropractic care I received at the Ventura Spinal Care Center. I have more energy now and I am walking four miles a day, three times a week… and I’m walking fourteen miles on the weekends.

"No more pain...and no more pain pills!"

Due to severe pain, I could not use my right arm to pick up or reach for anything! I could not even raise my arm away from my body without pain. Sleeping was a joke due to the pain. For six weeks, I went to physical therapy to strengthen my arm, but that did not work. I was also taking Celebrex for the pain. The pain pills worked as long as I did not pick up or reach for things.

Since I have been coming to see Dr. Alff, D.C. I have no more pain or have to take any more pain pills! I can now lift and carry anything with my right arm. My left arm now does not have to do all the work.

Prior to seeing Dr. Alff, D.C. I was experiencing a lot of hand pain. It was moderate to severe at times with tingling and numbness in both my hands and wrists. My medical doctor had medication to help cut some of the pain. However, the splints and Aspirin only gave me temporary relief but didn't correct the problem.

After examining me, Dr. Alff, D.C. began treating me with Cold Laser Therapy to my hands and wrists. I cannot believe the changes in my condition since consulting with Dr. Alff, D.C.. All the symptoms - the pain, numbness, tingling, and aching has been significantly reduced. I actually have feeling now in my fingers and hands! "My Back Pain Was Nearly 100%
Eliminated"

Ten years ago my oncologist told me my cancer had spread to an area in the spine (T-9). I had quite a bit of pain throughout my back, and I did not know how much was due to the cancer and how much was due to other back problems.

I believed in chiropractic care, however I had been concerned about the cost and thus had not been to the chiropractor for years. As an R.N., I knew that metastatic cancer in the spine had a very poor prognosis. At the age of 53, I also knew I wanted to live. i chose to do everything I knew how to do to eliminate the newly diagnosed cancer in my spine. This included continuing care with my oncologist, prayer, scriptural study, chiropractic care, and alternative therapy. It was clear to me that chiropractic care would help my immune system and would help my body function at its optimal level.

I felt very comfortable going to Dr. Alff, D.C., as I preferred the activator method of chiropractic care to the manual method. My vertebrae were adjusted without discomfort. Dr. Alff, D.C. was comfortable adjusting my back knowing my diagnosis and taking proper precautions. I followed his treatment plan and almost immediately felt considerably less pain and discomfort in my back. After the treatment plan was completed, my back pain was nearly 100% eliminated. It had been many years since I had such little discomfort.

Each year when I had my bone scan, the malignant tumor in the spine was smaller and smaller. This year, a test more sensitive than bone scan (pet scan) showed no activity in the bone! I still have a small tumor in another area; however, the excellent recovery in the spine is a miracle. I thank the Lord for working through wonderful people on this earth - all doing their part to make this happen. In my case, Dr. Alff, D.C. was and continues to be one of the Lord's servants. "Consistent Neck Pain Relief..."

I have always been in generally good health. My only complaint was my "ouchy" neck. I would find myself constantly rubbing it in a vain effort to ease the pain.

"My Elbow Pain Is Gone After Cold
Laser Therapy"

I had been seeing Dr. Alff, D.C. for maintenance care on my back when I began suffering with tendonitis in my left elbow. I went to see my medical doctor and he told me to take an over-the-counter pain reliever, which was ineffective.

I decided to see if Dr. Alff, D.C. could help me with the pain in my elbow. He began some treatments of adjustments to my left elbow and wrist as they were out of alignment. In addition he gave me some cold laser therapy treatments on my elbow. The combination of both of these treatments helped to relieve the tendonitis pain and promote healing. "Physical Therapy and Pain Pills Didn't Work, but Dr. Alff Did."

My friend told me to see Dr. Alff, D.C. because my back and shoulders hurt constantly. Sometimes the numbness in my hands made it difficult to write and drive. I went through physical therapy and that didn't provide much improvement. Pain pills weren't even working!

Since coming to Dr. Alff, D.C. I am feeling much better. I have a better outlook on life and more energy. It is so nice not to be grumpy all day due to being in so much pain. "I LOVE Getting Adjusted By Dr. Alff"

Hi, my name is Kelly Hauptman. Before coming to Dr. Alff, D.C. I was not in good shape. I had real back problems and I also had neck and allergy problems. So my mom would take me to different Chiropractors but they didn't help.

Then one Sunday we went to the Home and Garden Show and saw Dr. Alff, D.C. was checking people's backs for weak areas. So I went over and tried it out. It turned out my neck and back were really messed up. Dr. Alff, D.C. then decided to give me an appointment card to get some x-rays done at his office. We went and the x-rays showed my back had real subluxations. Because of this, my mom and I began to see Dr. Alff, D.C. on a regular basis.

We feel so much better thanks to Dr. Alff, D.C.! I love getting adjusted and using the therapy (Vivatek) table. And I love the rest of the staff at Alff Chiropractic, Inc.! They are so nice and make you feel very comfortable. Dr. Alff, D.C. has made my mom and I both so much better. Before she came to Dr. Alff, D.C. she could barely walk through their door, let alone take me shopping.

"I am So Thrilled to Feel This
Good Again!"

I am so thrilled to feel this good again. I have been bed ridden for approximately five years. I had no choice but to retire about that time because of pain from Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia.

I have been on every type of pain medication available to the medical profession. All it did was relieve the pain minimally. The opinion of every professional M.D. is that there is nothing to do for either of the above ailments except for drugs. I was never helped by any of these narcotics, only drugged. If I didn't sleep - that only made things worse - as this is when the body repairs itself. My body did not repair.

I had to retire from a business I loved and had been in for 30 years! I operated my own office in the business section of Ojai - having a thriving business. I am beginning to feel like I care whether I live or not. I had actually considered calling Dr. Kevorkian (the death doctor) at one time...not seriously, because I don't believe in suicide, but I had thought about it.

I do not understand the theory of the instrument Dr. Alff, D.C. uses to align the spine, but that's what it does - align the spine, allowing it to do what it is designed to do. I am thrilled to feel this good again; my only problem is keeping myself contained. I am inclined to do too much!

"There Is Life Without Pain!"

There is life without pain. In March of 2003 I was in such bad shape I knew I had to see someone. I was referred to Dr. Alff, D.C.. I could hardly do anything.

I was having pain in the low back and neck. I also was having numbing on my right side of my chest and middle of my back. I had put these aches and pain aside for two years. Just getting out of bed was a painful thing.

Dr. Alff, D.C. saw me and started to work on not just my body, but my mind set too. I worked his program and started to enjoy life. I am now able to do all the things I like to do. It's wonderful! Life is peachy. I had a little of a relapse, but it turned out to be okay. My back wanted to go back to the old way it was used to, but Dr. Alff, D.C. fixed everything. I believe in Chiropractic.
